Limited Stock - pricing by request.
Bergere, an 18th century French furniture form was first made in about 1725 in the Louis XV style. It probably evolved from the Confessional, a French upholstered armchair popular in 17th century Louis XIV style. By the late 18th century, it was also made in other countries. Our Bergere chair is upholstered below the arms, with a large loose cushion with a back that merges fluidly into the arms. (The cushion comes standard 50/50 down and feather over a seat core.)
